About

Broon is a fifty year old lawyer and is not having a mid life crisis. He does not want a sports car. A battleship would be good, but he is a realist.

He has spent five and a half years in Crown Office and needs a break, so is off on his travels to America, hoping to visit Honolulu and Arizona.

Mrs. Broon thinks it best he does this without her – she fears she might weary of planes and submarines, and is not sufficiently taken with airport lounges, long haul flights, and free fizz. He, on the other hand, is, and has high hopes of sating himself, if that is possible. He is also avoiding prelims so he knows he owes her big time.

Along the way he will take photographs and pass comment on flights, museums, people and places, coherence and sleep deprivation permitting. There might be even be flora and fauna as well as fast jets.

But probably not.

Enjoy yourself ! I hear that you are changing jobs too – let us know in due course whether you have become Nicola Sturgeon’ adviser !! Geoff and Maureen Miller

Very entertaining, although am a bit worried you have been allowed out on your own without a carer.

Glad to hear you have – at least as far as one can tell from the commentary – refrained from telling the locals that they may have made an error in government.

Hope the trip continues to go well and many, many things are ticked off the list and photographed…. Can you really see too many planes, boats, and ships?

I fear I may have used the word maniac on occasion. But lightheartedly, given many museums have signs saying “No firearms allowed” which is a chilling reality.
